The metaphors and inspiration for my repeated pattern were elements of buildings found around the city. I did many different designs based off a number of different metaphors as inspirations but for my final design I decided that I wanted to create a pattern based off of architectural design elements. The uniformity and geometric shapes and patterns that make up many urban apartment buildings and the unique shapes that their windows make greatly inspired the many different patterns that I created.
